Amaravati, January 25: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that the 'Amaravati Bill' will be introduced in the upcoming Budget session of Parliament to provide legal sanctity to Amaravati as the state's capital.

Speaking at a Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party meeting, he said the legislation aims to end uncertainties from the previous administration (2019-2024) by enabling a formal gazette notification. This would secure investments and institutions already planned or underway in the capital region.

The move follows requests to the Centre for statutory recognition, with all required details shared with relevant ministries and NITI Aayog.

Naidu urged MPs to push for central funds, including pending allocations for projects like Polavaram, while maintaining strong alliance ties with BJP and Jana Sena.
