Amaravati, January 25, 2026: Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav hailed AIIMS Mangalagiri as a "jewel in the Amaravati crown" at its 8th Foundation Day event. He praised the institute for quickly gaining patient trust and contributing to the vision of a modern capital under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The minister announced the allocation of an additional 10 acres for a new trauma centre and reaffirmed the government's commitment to its expansion.

The minister highlighted recent health sector gains in Andhra Pradesh, such as rising outpatient and inpatient services, reduced doctor absenteeism, timely promotions, free medicines, and diagnostics over the past 19 months. He noted state-run teaching hospitals deliver strong services despite lower budgets compared to AIIMS facilities.
