Amaravati, January 24, 2026: Authorities in Kurnool have banned the sale of meat and meat products across the city on January 26, Republic Day.
The Kurnool Municipal Corporation directed hotels, restaurants, and shops to halt sales, with strict enforcement against violations. The move aims to maintain decorum during national celebrations.
Additionally, the Superintendent of Police cancelled the weekly Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) meeting scheduled for that day. Officials urged residents to avoid visiting the SP office for petitions.
