Amaravati, January 24, 2026: Jonnalapadu village in Gara Mandal, Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh stands as a symbol of deep military tradition. Nestled between the Nagavali and Vamsadhara rivers, the community recently unveiled a camouflage-painted entrance arch and monument featuring a 'Wall of Valour and Service.'

It displays portraits of 27 men who joined the armed forces over three generations, from the 1960s onward. Highlights include Gunner Pandiri Krishna Murthy's service in the 1965 and 1971 wars, including at Bum La Pass, and recent Agniveer Dukka Shanmukha Rao, who enlisted in December 2025.

Families like the Pandiris have contributed across the Army and now the Navy, with Lieutenant Commander P. Kiran Kumar serving at Visakhapatnam's Eastern Naval Command.
