Amaravati, January 23, 2026: Union Minister of State for Rural Development Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar strongly criticized YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's recent remarks on Andhra Pradesh's land resurvey process.
Speaking to media in Guntur after inspecting infrastructure works, Pemmasani accused the former regime of failing to comply with central guidelines, which led to withheld incentives despite opportunities to secure them.
He defended the current TDP-led NDA government's actions, noting that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed resolution of 2.73 lakh land grievances through village-level assemblies since 2024.
Pemmasani attributed public anger toward YSRCP to practices like printing political images on passbooks and survey markers on private lands, plus restrictions under the earlier Land Titling Act. Jagan had alleged the NDA was stealing credit for YSRCP-era initiatives while sharing only partial facts.
