Amaravati, January 23, 2026: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who oversees Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, inaugurated the newly built Kotappakonda-Kothapalem road in Palnadu district.

The 8-km stretch, completed at a cost of ₹3.9 crore using Panchayat Raj funds, connects devotees to the historic Sri Trikoteswara Swamy temple on the sacred hill.

The project, prompted by local MLA Chadalavada Aravind Babu's request in the Assembly, was fast-tracked to finish before Maha Shivaratri. It will simplify travel for about 1.5 lakh pilgrims during the festival, while also helping farmers in Kothapalem and students heading to the Gonepudi school.

Pawan Kalyan visited the temple, offered prayers, unveiled a plaque near the Shiva Stupam, and walked the road to check the quality. He reviewed plans for a Giripradakshina path and inspected the nearby Vanavihari Deer Park.
