Amaravati, January 23, 2026: Authorities in Srikakulam district have ramped up preparations for Ratha Saptami at the ancient Arasavalli Sun temple, one of Andhra Pradesh's key pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Surya.
Temple officials anticipate more than 2.6 lakh devotees this year, boosted by the festival falling on a Sunday. Queue lines open Saturday night, with special rituals like Ksheerabhisekham starting early Sunday morning.
The district administration has deployed 250 CCTV cameras, extra queues, multiple parking zones, and coordinated tight securityto manage the surge and provide hassle-free access.
