Amaravati, January 22, 2026: Thimmapuram Suresh Reddy, a head constable at Tirupati West Police Station, arranged 1.60 lakh 25-paise coins into a striking tricolour at his home on Prakasam Road in Tirupati.

The flag spans 12 feet wide and 42 feet long, laid over glittering saffron, white, and green designer paper. The entire piece weighs close to 450 kg.

Reddy, who has collected rare coins and stamps for 25 years, created the artwork to honour the nation as Republic Day approaches. He hopes it earns a spot in world records and plans to invite schoolchildren to view it, inspiring interest in numismatics.
