Amaravati, January 22, 2026: The Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in Araku Valley, Alluri Sitharama Raju district, completed its first year of operations today, having processed and issued 506 passports between January and December 2025.
Located in a key tribal agency area, the centre has brought essential passport services closer to home for many in Andhra Pradesh's hilly regions, where applicants mostly men aged 30-40, including students and some local representatives, previously faced long trips to Visakhapatnam.
