Amaravati, January 22, 2026: Andhra Pradesh's Agriculture Department has wrapped up successful trials of AI tools linked to its Performance Monitoring Application (PMA).

The app, used by more than 10,000 field staff, tracks attendance, geo-tagged activities, and direct farmer updates.

The new AI system automatically checks images, locations, and timelines in every upload. It spots issues like reused photos or mismatched crop claims, ensuring reports match real conditions on the ground.

Backed by the Digital Agriculture Cell, with support from the National Informatics Centre and tech partners, this builds on platforms like e-Panta that have already surveyed over five crore land parcels.

Agriculture Director Manazir Jeelani Samoon noted the move adds strong credibility to village-level data for better policy choices.
