Amaravati, January 21, 2026: YSR Congress Party president and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced a new statewide padayatra to begin after roughly 18 months.

Speaking at a meeting with party workers from Eluru at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he criticised the coalition government for weakening institutions, halting welfare programs, and failing on key sectors like education, health, agriculture, and law and order.

He highlighted issues such as pending reimbursements, declining services, and hardships for farmers, students, youth, and women contrasting them with his previous administration's record.
