Amaravati, January 21, 2026: Chittoor District Superintendent of Police Tushar Dudi launched Dhairya Sparsha “An End to Fear, A Beginning of Safety, to tackle anti-social acts like public drinking, eve-teasing, gambling, and drug use.

The initiative maps crime-prone spots in every mandal, then acts fast: clearing bushes and garbage, levelling uneven ground, adding bright lights, installing CCTV cameras, and placing bold initiative boards to signal strong police presence.

In Puthalapattu mandal, for example, a railway underbridge near SV Engineering College long a trouble spot, saw immediate cleanup, new CCTV, and better lighting to make it safer for locals and students. Officials say strict action will follow against violators, aiming to build lasting public confidence.
