Amaravati, January 21, 2026: Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy announced the advance sanction of ₹1.80 crore for the sports stadium project in Atmakur, Nellore district.
The funds target priority works like completing existing structures, fencing the complex, and levelling the ground. Plans include state-of-the-art courts for cricket, football, and volleyball to create an athlete-friendly environment.
The announcement came during a review meeting in Nellore with Sports Authority officials, engineers, and local representatives. The minister directed efficient use of the initial funds and promised more support if needed for systematic progress.
