Vijayawada, January 20, 2026: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Arun Kumar Jain conducted an inspection of passenger facilities at Rajamahendravaram railway station in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district.
Accompanied by Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Narendra Patil and senior officers, he examined the 'One Station, One Product' stall, crew booking lobby, tracks, and signalling systems along the Duvvada-Rajamahendravaram section.
Jain interacted with staff and loco pilots, addressing their concerns and advising adequate rest before duties. He reviewed the upcoming Rail Coach Restaurant on the premises and directed officials to finish development works promptly to enhance commuter experience.
The focus aligns with broader railway enhancements in Andhra Pradesh, including a ₹271 crore redevelopment project for the station to support growing traffic and prepare for the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu.
