Vizag, January 20, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh government has rolled out online ticket booking for darshan of Lord Sri Suryanarayana Swamy at the historic Arasavalli temple in Srikakulam district on Ratha Saptami, falling on January 25, 2026.
This move addresses the yearly surge in devotees, projected at around 200,000, by allowing advance reservations through www.aptemples.gov.in or the Manmitra smartphone app. Devotees must select time slots and arrive accordingly for smooth entry.
Ratha Saptami, also known as Surya Jayanti, marks the Sun God's symbolic birthday and northward journey, featuring special rituals like Ksheerabhisekham (priced at ₹500) and general darshan tickets from ₹100 to ₹500.
Preparations span January 20-25 with cultural events, a Mega Surya Namaskar program, Sobha Yatra, Tollywood concert, drone show, and more to enhance the experience.
