Amaravati, January 20, 2026: A team of international dam experts Sean Hinchberger from Canada, David B Paul, and Gianfranco De Cicco, conducted an on-site review of the Polavaram multipurpose project near Eluru on Monday.
This marks their sixth inspection, focused on assessing construction quality, pace, safety, and design of critical elements like Gap-1 and Gap-2 sections, diaphragm wall, dewatering channels, rock-fill areas, and clay stockyards.
Accompanied by officials from the Central Water Commission, Polavaram Project Authority, and state Water Resources Department, including Engineer-in-Chief K Narasimha Murthy, the experts held technical discussions with Megha Engineering representatives.
