Newsroom, January 20, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand today inaugurated a package of new infrastructure at S. Uppalapadu village in Jammalamadugu constituency, Kadapa district.

The projects, totaling over ₹20 crore, include a ₹75 lakh community-cum-dining hall funded by Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Private Corporation, a ₹86 lakh community hall via CSR from A.P. Transco, 20 cement and BT roads worth ₹5 crore through Panchayat Raj departments, four connecting roads at ₹4.9 crore by the Roads & Buildings department, and the reconstruction of Gangamma temple with ₹55 lakh from Endowments funds.

The developments stem from the village's official adoption in 2018, with support from NRI benefactor M. Rammanohar Reddy.

Dignitaries present included local MLA and Government whip C. Adinarayana Reddy, Collector Sridhar Cherukuri, Joint Collector Nidhi Meena, SP Nachiket Vishwanath Shelke, TDP leader C. Bhupesh Reddy, and former Kadapa Collector Ch. Hari Kiran (now Telangana Prohibition & Excise Director).
