Amaravati, January 19, 2026: Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), under India's Ministry of Power, will present Andhra Pradesh's pioneering model at India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, set for January 27-30 in Goa.
The event, India's flagship global energy summit, expects over 75,000 professionals, 700 exhibitors, and delegates from more than 120 countries.
Andhra Pradesh leads through initiatives like the Street Light National Programme (SLNP) and UJALA. Nearly 29.5 lakh LED streetlights installed save about 1,980 million kWh yearly, cut Rs 1,188 crore in costs, avoid 330 MW peak demand, and reduce 1.36 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Under UJALA, around 2.20 crore LED bulbs distributed deliver further savings of 2,863 million kWh, Rs 1,145 crore, and over 3.3 million tonnes in CO2 cuts.
