Amaravati, January 19, 2026: A private travel bus operated by Sri Vijaya Krishna Travels veered off the national highway and plunged into an agricultural field at Chebrolu near Pithapuram in Kakinada district early Monday.
The vehicle carried 20 passengers en route from Srikakulam to Bhimavaram when the mishap occurred in the pre-dawn hours.
Ten passengers sustained injuries and received treatment at Pithapuram Area Hospital. Police confirmed all were discharged by evening, with no fatalities reported. Authorities registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the cause.
