Amaravati, January 19, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has outlined plans to develop six major bus stations under public-private partnership (PPP) model.

The initiative seeks to modernise passenger amenities, add commercial spaces, and boost non-fare revenue without straining government funds.

The projects, with a combined estimated cost of ₹958 crore, include redeveloping integrated terminals at Autonagar in Vijayawada, Rajvihar in Kurnool, Guntur, and Kadapa; building a new intermodal station in Tirupati; and creating a bus station with a commercial complex in Chittoor.

Different PPP formats like Design-Finance-Build-Operate-Transfer and revenue-sharing will apply. The Vijayawada project (₹154 crore) is ready for bidding, while Tirupati (₹495 crore) has its detailed project report complete; others remain in planning.
