Vijayawada, January 18, 2026: The POCSO Special Court in Vijayawada issued a non-bailable warrant against former Hindupur MP K. Gorantla Madhav after he failed to appear for a scheduled hearing on January 16.

The case, registered by cybercrime police, accuses the YSR Congress Party leader of violating the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act by disclosing a minor victim's name to the media.

The complaint originated from former Mahila Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma.
