Vijayawada, January 18, 2026: Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy commended the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) for earning the Governance Now-Aarogya Digital Transformation Summit Award.

He credited the achievement to the corporation's push for technology, aligning with Chief Minister Naidu's vision for better public transport.

The minister spotlighted the rollout of the Automatic Announcement System at key bus stations, which delivers real-time updates on arrivals, departures, platforms, and routes.

He praised the APSRTC staff and leadership, especially Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, for enhancing service quality through advanced information and passenger-friendly measures, such as free travel for women and stable fares during festivals.
