Amaravati, January 17, 2026: TDP MP from Vizianagaram Kalisetti Appala Naidu retraced his childhood path to school on Saturday, walking from Varahinarasipuram village in Ranasthalam mandal to Mettavalasa High School in Laveru mandal of Srikakulam district.

The 10-15 km route crossed streams, hillocks, mango orchards, cashew plantations, and coconut groves the same challenging journey he and his friends made daily as students between 1983 and 1988.

Many former classmates joined the trek for a reunion, sharing memories in the old classrooms. The MP interacted with current students, emphasising the importance of willpower and focus in overcoming obstacles and achieving goals.

He pledged full support to renovate the school ahead of its golden jubilee, highlighting the value of perseverance in rural education journeys.
