Amaravati, January 15, 2026: The India Meteorological Department reports that atmospheric patterns now support the withdrawal of the northeast monsoon from Andhra Pradesh and nearby southern states in the next two days.

This follows a season of mostly normal to excess rainfall across the state, with only a few districts like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema and East Godavari seeing below-average totals.

Fog and mist will continue in isolated pockets of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema until January 17, extending to parts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh until January 19.

The state anticipates dry conditions through January 21, marking a shift to clearer winter skies.
