Amaravati, January 14, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu marked the start of Sankranti by joining festive activities in his ancestral village of Naravaripalle near Tirupati.

He participated in traditional events with family members, including rangoli appreciation, children's games like sack races, and millet-based food promotions, while distributing prizes to winners.

Amid the celebrations, Naidu inaugurated a skill development centre, an upgraded community health centre (expanded to 50 beds), a 33/11 kV substation, and a new road to a local temple.

He also broke ground on a major ₹126-crore water project to channel irrigation from the Handri-Neeva canal to fill several tanks, boosting farming in the region.
