Amaravati, January 12, 2026: Students from Vasireddy Venkatadri International Technological University (VVITU) in Guntur district completed their 15th annual interfaith unity walk, known as ‘Dargah to Durga’ or D-Walk.

The group started at Hazrat Khaleesha Mastan Dargah in Guntur and finished at Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada, covering nearly 33 km. The route included stops at a Jain temple and a church in Dolas Nagar, where participants offered prayers.

About 3,000 students took part, including NCC cadets and NSS volunteers. Guntur Traffic Deputy Superintendent of Police B. Srinivasa Rao flagged off the march. VVITU Chancellor Vasireddy Vidyasagar addressed the group, praising the event's unbroken run for 14 prior years.

He said it builds purpose, perseverance, and unity, urging youth to follow Swami Vivekananda's ideals for self-confidence, tolerance, empathy, and nation-building.
