Amaravati, January 12, 2026: Narmada Valley FC lifted the trophy in the fifth edition of the Inspire Cup, an annual U-17 girls football tournament held at Anantapur Sports Village.

Organised by the Rural Development Trust’s Anantapur Sports Academy in partnership with the La Liga Foundation, the event drew 14 teams and 252 young players from across India, showcasing the rising talent in women's football.

The Madhya Pradesh-based side edged out Magan Singh Rajvi FC 2-1 in a tight final. Defending champions from previous years showed strong form throughout, while local host Anantapur Sports Academy reached the semi-finals.

India U-17/U-20 coach Joakim Alexandersson praised the tournament for boosting national football quality and motivating girls to pursue the sport. M. Anusha, fresh from representing India in an international friendly, received special recognition for her contributions.
