Amaravati, January 11, 2026: IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh highlighted the swift development of LG Electronics' Rs 5000 crore manufacturing plant in Sri City. The land was handed over in May 2025, and the project has progressed with remarkable speed and scale in just seven months.

The 247-acre facility, LG's third in India, will produce refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and key components.

It aims to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs while boosting the state's manufacturing ecosystem. Production begins by late 2026, with phased expansion through 2029 to match growing demand.
