Amaravati, January 11, 2026: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has endorsed the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Grameen), or VB G-RAM-G, a new central scheme launched in December 2025 to replace MGNREGA.

The program aims to generate employment for rural poor while building lasting assets like solar lighting, check dams, schools, hospitals, plantations, and cattle shelters.

The scheme offers 25 extra days of work up to 125 days total and includes strict safeguards such as geo-referencing, biometric monitoring, and village assembly approvals to ensure transparency and timely wages.

Naidu highlighted its alignment with Andhra Pradesh's Swarnandhra-2047 vision, noting past successes under similar programs like building thousands of kilometres of rural roads. He directed NDA partners to create outreach plans so villagers understand and benefit fully.
