Vizag, January 10, 2026: The third Indian Lighthouse Festival launched vibrantly at MGM Park in Visakhapatnam on January 9.

Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the two-day event, organized by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

The festival celebrates India’s maritime legacy while boosting lighthouse tourism. It features traditional performances, art and craft markets, coastal cuisine, and night illuminations.

More than 40 self-help group stalls from across Andhra Pradesh showcase handcrafted items and regional delicacies, highlighting women-led entrepreneurship and community involvement.
