Vijayawada, January 09, 2026: Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar and Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy held a key review at the Secretariat on January 8 to tackle ongoing power supply challenges at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, the revered Kanaka Durga Temple.

The discussion followed earlier disruptions linked to pending bills and coordination gaps between the Endowments Department and Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL).

Temple officials agreed to clear arrears in instalments, while CPDCL committed to installing two 500 kW net meters to integrate the temple's 1-MW solar plant effectively. Ministers directed both departments to improve coordination and prioritise devotees' sentiments in all decisions.
