Amaravati, January 08, 2026: Andhra Pradesh's Roads and Buildings Minister BC Janardhan Reddy revealed that the state completed road works valued at ₹3,380 crore over the past year, marking a significant push under the Chief Minister's priorities to boost infrastructure and attract industries.
This includes repairs and pothole-filling across nearly 16,000 km of roads at a cost of ₹1,081 crore, with all projects set for completion by May-end.
In Krishna district alone, ₹160 crore supported fixes on 1,518 km, covering constituencies like Machilipatnam (₹33 crore for 166 km), Pamarru, Gannavaram, Gudivada, Avanigadda, Penamaluru, and Pedana.
The minister stressed quality adherence during a review meeting at the Machilipatnam Collectorate, where port and harbour updates were also discussed.
