Amaravati, January 07, 2026: Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited will establish a 10 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing plant in Nellore district at the IFFCO Kisan Special Economic Zone.

The ₹6,675 crore investment covers 200 acres, with 120 acres for the first phase and 80 acres reserved for growth. A 200 MW captive green power plant will supply renewable energy on site.

This move strengthens Andhra Pradesh as a solar manufacturing hub, joining projects by other firms in the area. It supports national goals to boost domestic production of key solar components and cut import reliance.

Officials highlight the state's infrastructure, port access, and policy stability as key draws. IT Minister Nara Lokesh called it a vote of confidence in clean energy progress.
