Vijayawada, January 07: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the ongoing distribution of new pattadar passbooks and stressed zero errors to restore confidence in land ownership.
He directed officials to verify all land details through Gram Sabhas before printing, correct any records upfront, and prevent tampering or duplication. Passbooks must reach farmers directly, with clear explanations of security features like QR codes and the state emblem.
The initiative, under the slogan “Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku” (Your Land Your Right), features slogans such as “Jai Bharat” and “Jai Telugu Talli.” Changes to records will need explicit farmer consent, and future plans include online access to reduce reliance on officials.
Since the drive began on January 2, about 6.07 lakh passbooks have reached farmers across the state. Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad joined the review.
