Amaravati, January 07, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh government launched the second phase of land pooling in the capital region on Wednesday, targeting 16,666 acres across seven villages in Thullur and Amaravati mandals.

The process began in Yendrayi and Vaddamanu, where farmers voluntarily submitted consent forms during village meetings organized by the Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA).

This phase supports key projects including an Inner Ring Road, railway connectivity, and an International Sports City. Officials report positive farmer response in initial areas, backed by incentives such as a ₹1.5 lakh loan waiver for participating families and plans to increase lease rents.

Earlier, 34,000 acres were pooled, enabling ongoing works like government quarters, administrative towers, the Assembly, and High Court buildings. Additional plans include a Krishna River marina under public-private partnership and enhanced connectivity via a steel bridge by February.
