Vijayawada, January 06: Taruni Tarangalu, a Vijayawada-based women’s organisation, readies its sixth edition of Mahila Utsavalu on January 7 and 8.

The two-day festival blends culture and inspiration with classical dance and music on the first day, plus essay and elocution contests for students and women.

Evening highlights include “Manusolu Maata,” where trailblazing women share career journeys against odds.

Day two brings folk dances, poetry, short plays, and vegetable carving. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha is expected to inaugurate, with A.P. State Women’s Commission chairperson Rayapudi Sailaja as chief guest.

NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha and Police Commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu attend the close.
