Amaravati, January 6, 2026: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will bring the serene Sacred Harathi ritual to Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh's capital, following the guidance of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Preparations include studying similar events elsewhere and training staff soon.

The Sacred Harathi features Vedic chants, glowing lamps, and ringing bells to deepen devotees' spiritual connection.

A committee will study similar rituals performed in places like Kashi along the Ganga and in Ujjain. Officials must submit a detailed report soon. Training for Veda Parayanadars and Potu workers will start by month's end.
