Amaravati, January 06, 2026: Members of the Kakinada Coastal Sports Club recently met Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) chairperson A. Ravi Naidu at the SAAP office in Vijayawada.

They extended an invitation for him to serve as chief guest at the Kakinada Gold Cup Hockey Tournament-2026, set for February 4 to 14 in Kakinada.

The club founders, Ravi Chandra Prasad and A. Babji, also shared details of a planned modern hockey academy in Kakinada valued at ₹2.5 crore.

The facility aims to meet national standards and boost hockey growth across Andhra Pradesh. Naidu congratulated the founders on their sports efforts and unveiled winner medals for the tournament.
