Amaravati, January 03, 2026: Andhra Pradesh's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered 115 cases in 2025, a notable decline from 101 in 2024 and 224 in 2023.
The cases included 69 traps, eight disproportionate assets probes, seven criminal misconduct matters, 19 regular enquiries, and 12 surprise checks. Revenue officials faced the most traps, with 26 incidents linked to land and local services.
ACB Director General Atul Singh highlighted fewer conversions of small-scale bribe complaints often below ₹10,000 for routine clearances, into formal cases due to staff limits and time pressures.
Trials wrapped in 36 cases yielded 12 convictions (46% rate), 14 acquittals, and six abatements. Major actions included high-profile traps like a tribal welfare engineer-in-chief caught for ₹25 lakh.
