Amaravati, January 02, 2026: Andhra Pradesh recorded a 5.78% increase in net GST collections in December 2025, reaching ₹2,652 crore.
This marked the highest December haul since the GST regime began and outperformed the national average of 5.61% (excluding imports). Among southern states, the state ranked second behind Tamil Nadu.
The growth held firm despite recent GST rate cuts on essentials, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals, plus cess changes.
Officials credit stronger consumption, better taxpayer compliance, data analytics, targeted audits, and faster action on defaults. It marked the ninth straight month of higher net collections compared to the prior year.
