Amaravati, January 02, 2026: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Andhra Pradesh will expand its network of informants to identify corrupt officials across government departments. Director-General Atul Singh announced this during a performance review in Vijayawada.
The 2026 priorities include strengthening the agency, building reliable informant channels, and speeding up case trials.
In 2025, the ACB registered 115 cases, including 69 trap operations, disproportionate assets probes, and surprise checks, across various sectors such as revenue, municipal administration, and tribal welfare.
Notable actions included high-value bribe traps and convictions with prison terms up to seven years. The bureau maintains internal safeguards against information leaks during raids.
