Amaravati, December 31: Visakhapatnam International Airport recorded 27.55 lakh passengers between January and November 2025, a 9.29% rise from 25.21 lakh in the same period last year.
Monthly traffic stayed above 2.2 lakh, peaking near 2.7 lakh in January and November. Officials credit the uptick to streamlined flight operations, new routes like the IndiGo service to Abu Dhabi launched in June, and upgrades such as modern passenger amenities and private management of facilities since February.
The airport also managed nearly 4,903 metric tonnes of domestic cargo during the period.
