Amaravati, December 31: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has signalled a sharp pivot toward accelerated development in 2026, positioning it as the year to transform Andhra Pradesh's economy through wealth creation, faster industrial expansion, and stronger welfare-delivery systems.

After a year of fulfilling key election promises including Talliki Vandanam aid to mothers of 67 lakh students, free bus travel for women, and farmer support via Annadata Sukhibhav, the coalition government eyes sustained momentum.

The state posted double-digit growth at 11.28% in 2025, drew Rs 13.25 lakh crore in commitments from events like the CII Summit in Vizag, and attracted major players in IT, AI, and clean energy.

Amaravati's capital development has crossed Rs 50,000 crore in investments, with plans for Quantum Valley advancements and infrastructure under a three-region master plan spanning Visakhapatnam, Amaravati, and Tirupati. Priorities include resolving land disputes for farmers, boosting employment toward 20 lakh jobs, and expanding sectors like IT hubs in Vizag.
