Vijayawada, December 30, 2025: A brief 15-minute power cut struck the famous Kanaka Durga temple on Indrakeeladri Hill, disrupting normal operations for devotees.

Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar attributed the incident to a coordination lapse between the Endowments and Energy Departments. He ruled out any larger technical fault in the grid.

The minister stressed that devotee sentiments remain the government's top priority. Power returned quickly on priority basis.

Officials held an immediate review, with senior staff directed to submit a full report. Strict measures will follow against those at fault, and new steps aim to prevent future issues.
