Amaravati, December 29, 2025: Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader K Nagababu voiced firm support for renaming the Polavaram multipurpose irrigation project after Amarajeevi Sri Potti Sriramulu.

Speaking at an event in Mangalagiri on December 28, Nagababu described the proposal first put forward by JSP president and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan as a meaningful tribute to a freedom fighter whose fast-unto-death in 1952 sparked the creation of Andhra State.

He highlighted that Sriramulu's sacrifice continues to inspire generations and sets an example of selfless service over political naming traditions.
