Amaravati, December 29, 2025: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Andhra Pradesh's rising badminton stars following their standout show at the 87th Senior National Badminton Championship, which concluded in Vijayawada on December 28.
The event, hosted at the Chennupati Ramakotaiah Indoor Stadium after a decade-long gap, spotlighted the state's growing sports prowess on the national stage.
Naidu specially praised 19-year-old local talent Surya Charishma Tarini for her gold medal in women's singles, where she staged a comeback victory. He also celebrated the Andhra Pradesh women's team for securing silver in the senior team event a historic first for the state.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister expressed pride in the "daughters of Andhra Pradesh shining on the sporting stage" and wished them success in future tournaments. SAAP chief Animini Ravi Naidu echoed the congratulations, underscoring the achievement's significance.
