Amaravati, December 26 2025: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), operator of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, marked a major operational high on December 24 with a combined record of 20,934 tonnes of liquid steel from its two steel melting shops. Steel Melting Shop-2 alone delivered its best single-day performance since start-up, producing 11,169 tonnes across 73 heats.
The milestone came from tighter coordination between shops, steady equipment performance, smooth material supply, and disciplined teamwork across production, maintenance, and logistics.
It builds on the plant's recent momentum in Andhra Pradesh's industrial heartland, where average outputs have climbed amid efforts to stabilise and scale capacity at the shore-based facility.
