Amaravati, December 26, 2025: NTR district administration launched Andhra Taxi on December 25, a dedicated mobile platform to make travel safer, cheaper, and more convenient for tourists visiting Vijayawada and nearby spots. District Collector G Lakshmisha inaugurated the app at the Collectorate, calling it a step toward the state’s goal of boosting tourism as an economic driver.
The app lets users book taxis and autos via mobile, QR code, or WhatsApp. It adds real-time ride tracking, an SOS link to police, feedback tools, and trained local youth as certified guides.
Drivers receive hospitality training to act as tourism ambassadors. Curated packages span one to four days, highlighting spiritual sites like Kanaka Durga Temple, heritage spots such as Kondapalli Fort, and eco-attractions including Bhavani Island.
