Amaravati, December 26, 2025: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on December 25 and reiterated the state's demand for a Central Agricultural University, as promised in Schedule 13 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.

He highlighted that the state has already submitted a detailed project report costing ₹2,585 crore to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education.

Naidu tied the proposal to Andhra Pradesh's strong agricultural progress, including a 10.70% growth rate driven by water security, technology adoption, and natural farming adoption by nearly 40 lakh farmers.

He also sought support for related initiatives like a Coconut Park, modern Aqua Laboratory, and Mango Board to build value chains and rural jobs.
