Four killed in nandyal highway crash

Four people died and two were injured when an SUV crossed the divider and collided head-on with a private bus in Andhra Pradesh's Nandyal district early Friday.

Amaravati, December 26, 2025: A tragic head-on collision claimed four lives on National Highway 40 near Nallagatla in Allagadda mandal, Nandyal district, around 3 a.m. An SUV travelling from Tirupati to Hyderabad lost control, veered across the road divider, and struck an oncoming private travel bus heading from Hyderabad to Pondicherry.

All four fatalities occurred in the SUV, with victims identified as residents of Hyderabad's Nizampet area who had been supporting a pilgrimage group. The two injured passengers from the SUV received treatment at a local hospital, while all bus passengers escaped unharmed and continued their journey in another vehicle.
